Magnesium is a mineral the body cannot make: it has to come from the diet every day. As a citrate powder, it is easy to measure and dissolves in the drink of your choice. Here is what you need to know to choose it and take it well.
300 mg
of elemental magnesium per scoop
80%
of the reference intake
2.3 g
of powder per scoop
≈ 60 days
for a 138 g jar

Magnesium, an essential mineral
Magnesium is involved in a large number of reactions in the body. The European authorities recognise several roles for it.
Magnesium contributes to:
It also has a role in the process of cell division.
Why citrate?
Magnesium citrate
An organic salt, soluble in water, with a neutral taste. It mixes easily into a drink.
Magnesium oxide
Very common in tablets because it is concentrated, but poorly soluble in water.
Our magnesium citrate powder is extra-soluble and contains nothing else. It is made in Germany and packed in France.

Elemental magnesium: reading the label
On a label, the weight of the salt should not be confused with the amount of magnesium it provides. Magnesium citrate combines magnesium with citric acid: only part of its weight is magnesium.
One 2.3 g scoop of magnesium citrate provides 300 mg of elemental magnesium. That is the figure that counts.

How much magnesium per day?
The reference intake for magnesium is 375 mg per day for an adult. One scoop provides 300 mg, i.e. 80% of this intake.
The maximum level recommended by the DGCCRF, the French consumer protection authority, in a food supplement is 360 mg per day for an adult, and 250 mg per day for children and adolescents.
How to take magnesium citrate powder?
Measure
Take one scoop with the measuring scoop included.
Dilute
In a glass of water, juice or a smoothie.
Drink
Preferably with a meal.
A 138 g jar contains around 60 scoops, i.e. around 2 months at one scoop per day.

What precautions?
- Stick to the recommended dose: at high doses, magnesium can speed up intestinal transit.
- Ongoing medical treatment: ask a healthcare professional for advice.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: ask a healthcare professional before taking any supplement.
